| 外僑居留證就如同國際學生在臺灣的臨時身分證，是居留在臺灣的身份證明文件，因此，對每個國際學生來說，它是非常重要的！請務必妥善保管並隨時注意你的居留期限！另外，無論是持居留簽證入境臺灣，或是在中華民國境內獲改換發居留簽證者，請務必於入境次日，或是居留簽證簽發日起15天內，向居住地之內政部入出國及移民署各縣（市）服務站申請外僑居留證及重入國許可。外僑可線上申請亦可紙本申請。 | For international students, the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) serves as their temporary ID card which can prove their resident status in Taiwan. It is a very important document and international students are advised to take good care of it and pay attention to its expiration date! Moreover, whether international students have entered Taiwan with Resident Visa or obtained Resident Visa through visa change within Taiwan, please remember to apply for the Alien Resident Certificate and Re-entry Permit at the local office of Ministry of Interior National Immigration Agency on the next day upon arrival or within 15 days of the issue of their resident visa. |

| 申請文件時，須以彩色影像製成512KB以內的圖檔（jpg、jpeg、png、bmp或pdf格式）上傳至線上系統，內容須清晰可辨，並以文件類型命名。申請人相片須為彩色，經裁切後使臉部佔整張圖檔三分之二面積，且須與護照照片能辨識為同一人。海外製作的文件需附中文譯本並經我國駐外館處驗證；若館處僅驗證原文件，則中文譯本須經我國法院或公證人公證。居住臺灣且具戶籍的國民若持外國護照入境，申請居留時須先辦理戶籍遷出。未履行兵役義務的接近役齡或役齡男子，若無役政用華僑身分證明或符合相關限制條件者，將不受理申請。外國與外僑學生須於入境後30日內申請居留，違者處以新臺幣2,000至10,000元罰鍰。居留地址變更須於30日內辦理登記，否則處以相同金額罰鍰。居留證延期須於效期屆滿前3個月內申請；逾期未滿30日且原因仍存在者，經處罰後可重新申請；逾期30日以上者須出境重新申請簽證。健康檢查須依衛福部規定項目進行，國內須在指定醫院檢驗，海外檢驗需經駐外館處驗證，檢查項目不完整須在國內補檢 | When submitting application documents, color images must be uploaded to the online system as files under 512KB in jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, or pdf format, with clear content and named according to document type. The applicant's photo must be in color, cropped so that the face occupies two-thirds of the image, and be identifiable as the same person in their passport. Documents produced overseas must include Chinese translations verified by ROC overseas missions; if the mission only verifies the original document, the Chinese translation must be notarized by an ROC court or notary. ROC nationals with household registration in Taiwan entering with foreign passports must first complete household deregistration before applying for residence. Applications will not be accepted from pre-draft age or draft age males who have not fulfilled their military service obligations and lack Overseas Chinese ID for military service purposes or meet other restrictive conditions. Foreign and overseas Chinese students must apply for residence within 30 days of entry, with violations subject to fines of NT$2,000-10,000. Address changes must be registered within 30 days, with the same fines applying for violations. Residence permit extensions must be applied for within 3 months before expiration; those who overstay less than 30 days with continuing valid reasons may reapply after penalties; those who overstay more than 30 days must exit and reapply for visas. Health examinations must follow Ministry of Health and Welfare requirements, be conducted at designated hospitals domestically, or if done overseas, be verified by ROC overseas missions, with incomplete items requiring supplementary examination in Taiwan. |
