Application Document Checklist

To ensure your application process goes smoothly, please review the required documents based on your applicant status. All documents must be uploaded in PDF format, except for your profile photo.


【 Step 1: Select Your Applicant Status 】

  • International Students: Applicants holding a foreign (non-ROC) passport.

  • Overseas Chinese Students: Applicants with Overseas Chinese status or backgrounds from Hong Kong and Macau.


🌍 Category 1: International Students

💡 Upload Tips: Photos should be saved as JPG. All other documents must be merged into a single PDF for each category. (File size limit: 2MB for general documents; 5MB for department-specific review materials).

1. Basic Forms & Proof of Payment

  • Application Fee Receipt: A copy must clearly indicate the applicant's name and the department applied for.

  • Affidavit and Consent for Academic Record Verification: Please download Form 1; it must be signed by the applicant in person.

  • Study Plan and Autobiography: May be written in either Chinese or English.

2. Identity Documents

  • Passport Copy: If you hold a Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), please include a copy as well.

  • Documents for Special Nationality Status: Applicants who hold foreign nationality but currently or previously held ROC nationality must provide entry/exit records for the past 6 years, a Form 3 affidavit, or other supporting certificates of non-registration of household.

3. Proof of Financial Sufficiency (Choose one)

Minimum Threshold: NT$ 120,000 (or US$ 4,000) or more.

  • A personal bank statement issued within the last 3 months.

  • Proof of a full scholarship provided by a government, university, or private organization.

  • Note: If using a relative's account (within the third degree of kinship), a Form 2 (Financial Guarantee) signed by the sponsor must be attached.

4. Academic Credentials (Authentication Required)

  • Highest Degree Diploma & Official Transcripts: These must be authenticated by an ROC (Taiwan) overseas mission.

  • Current Graduates: You may apply using your current transcripts, but official authenticated diplomas and transcripts must be submitted at the time of registration to maintain enrollment eligibility.


🌏 Category 2: Overseas Chinese Students

Application channels are divided into "UECOCS Joint Distribution" and "USC Individual Enrollment." Please prepare your documents according to your chosen channel.

1. Core Required Documents (Required for all channels)

  • Application Form: Completed via the system, printed, and signed with a photo attached.

  • Identity Proof: Copies of your resident ID/permanent resident card from your place of residence and passport.

  • Authenticated Academic Records: Diploma and transcripts for the last three years of secondary school. Documents not in Chinese or English must be accompanied by a translated version and authenticated by an ROC overseas mission.

2. Channel-Specific Documents

Application Channel Additional Required Documents
UECOCS (Joint Distribution) Choice List, local examination results (e.g., UEC, SPM, DSE, etc.), and Affidavit.
USC (Individual Enrollment) Study Plan/Autobiography (under 1,000 words), Language Proficiency (TOCFL A2 or above), and Enrollment-specific Affidavit.

3. Additional Documents for Specific Departments

  • College of Design: Must submit a Portfolio and a Copyright Affidavit.

  • Department of Music: Must submit Performance Recordings and Letters of Recommendation.


⚠️ Important Common Notes

  • Document Authentication: Authenticating academic documents is the most time-consuming step. Please contact your nearest ROC (Taiwan) representative office as early as possible.

  • No Returns: All submitted application materials are non-refundable. Please keep personal backups.

  • Language Proficiency: Please provide proof of Chinese (TOCFL) or English proficiency as required by your specific department.
