Asia Summer University Language Program

What is Language Program

This is a summer camp hosted by Taiwan's Shih Chien University, focused on language classes while providing opportunities to experience Taiwanese culture, food, and traditions. Additionally, participants from various countries gather here, offering a chance to make friends from around the world.

Program Schedule and Participant Limit

This program primarily offers a two-week schedule.
For group applications, a three-week program is also available.

The 2026 program dates are as follows:

  • Two-weeks Program: August 2- August 15,2026
  • Three-weeks Program: August2- August 22, 2026

Starting from the 2026 program, the maximum number of participants will be limited as follows:

  • Chinese Language Class: up to 30 participants
  • English Language Class: up to 30 participants

After submitting your application, you will recieve a confirmation email regarding your acceptance status.

Please ensure that the email address provided in your application is correct.

Language Class

For the Language classes, You can choose either a Chinese course or an English Course.

English Course

The English courses are designed for non-native speakers and focus on the practical use of English. Therefore, the curriculum is structured so that the English learned in the morning classes can be actively used in the afternoon conversation sessions or course discussions.

Chinese Course

In the Chinese classes, students are divided into levels, allowing them to study at a level that suits their abilities.

Culrural Class

In the cultural classes, you will learn about Taiwanese culture in the language you chose for your language class. For example, you can learn about traditional masks, spring couplets, and even how to make bubble milk tea.

From application to camp participation

  1. Application Deadline:June 5, 2026, 12:00pm(Taiwan time)
  2. Nortification of Acceptance
  3. Return the invoice with your signature or stamp
  4. Submit the following
    • flight ticket information
    • scanned copy of your passport
    • proof of payment for 30% of the participation fee
  5. Attend the pre-depature orientation
  6. Camp Begins!!
