1. 上述課程時間及參訪行程可能依實際情況及協辦單位略作調整，請隨時留意國際處公告。
2. 本次活動期間之交通及餐食費用皆由學生自理。
3. 本活動屬通識課程「全球文化與溝通」(外語學用與文化課程，2學分)內容之一，參加者除須全程參與海外移地教學，另須出席行前課程及期末報告，已通並獲得同一堂課程者，無法再次取得學分。
4. 課程及格並符合本校學生赴境外研修獎勵辦法資格者，每人可補助新台幣16,000元
5. 影片製作與拍攝記錄員1名，課程結束後須提供紀錄照片與影音剪輯作品(1分鐘與5分鐘版本)，符合資格補助新台幣20,000元

Note:

1. The course schedule and visit itinerary mentioned above are subject to slight adjustments based on actual circumstances and the arrangements of the co-organizing institutions. Please stay updated with announcements from the Office of International Affairs.
2. All transportation and meal expenses during the activity period shall be borne by the students themselves.
3. This activity is part of the general education course "Global Culture and Communication" (Applied Foreign Languages and Culture Course, 2 credits). Participants are required to attend the entire overseas teaching program, as well as the pre-departure sessions and final presentation. Students who have already completed and received credit for this same course are not eligible to earn credits again.
4. Students who pass the course and meet the eligibility requirements under the university’s regulations for overseas study subsidies may receive a subsidy of NT$16,000 per person.
5. Video production and documentation staff member will be recruited. Upon completion of the course, this person must submit a set of documentation photos and edited videos (one 1-minute version and one 5-minute version). Eligible individuals will receive a subsidy of NT$20,000.

    含經濟艙來回機票、海外課程、住宿及旅平險費用、不含簽證/護照申請、餐食、交通及個人文化參訪費用

報名資格：1. 具本校學籍之學位生(以三、四年級為優先)

2. 境外交換生及雙聯學制生

          3. 成績規定: 上一學期成績平均80分以上，英文能力須達TOEIC 550(含)以上或同等級別(尚無英文檢定證明者，大學英文必修課成績須達80分以上)

報名方式：請填妥附件申請表，並附上應繳交之相關文件，連同活動費用(採現金或匯款轉帳方式)繳交至國際事務處，始完成報名手續。

報名期限：即日起至9月29日(一)下午5點，名額限15位，額滿截止

Includes: Round-trip economy airfare, Overseas course tuition and visits, Accommodation, Overseas travel insurance

Excludes: Visa/passport application fees, Meals, transportation, and personal cultural activities

Eligibility:

1. Full-time students of Shih Chien University (priority to 3rd and 4th-year students)
2. Exchange students or dual degree students
3. Academic Requirements:
   1. Previous semester GPA of 80 or above
   2. English proficiency: TOEIC 550+ (or equivalent); if unavailable, a score of 80+ in required English courses.

Registration Deadline: From now until 5:00 PM on Monday, Sep 29^th. Limited to 15 participants. Registration will close once full.

Please complete the attached application form and submit all required documents along with the full payment (in cash or via bank transfer) to the Office of International Affairs to finalize your registration.

 

【課程及參訪資訊】

1. 本次交流活動融合專業演講、討論與實做兩大面向，內容豐富多元。工作坊內容以面對當代氣候危機與物種滅絕的加速，永續設計已不再只是以人類需求為中心的議題，而是必須納入跨物種、多樣生態的共同思考。此工作坊以「超越人類中心」為核心，結合推測設計（Speculative Design）、多物種世界建構（Multispecies Worldbuilding）與生物藝術（Bio Art）的方法，邀請參與者共同想像並創造「未來物種」，這些物種不僅是虛構的想像，更是對人類與非人類關係的反思與實驗。最後以工作坊所完成內容，帶領日本當地高中學生了解其經營理念、永續實踐與實際運作，協助學生將課堂所學與實務接軌，拓展職涯視野與國際觀。
2. 姊妹校參訪及日本文化探索，請配合帶隊老師指示並保持團體行動。
3. 課程為密集式全英語教學，參加者須全程參與海外移地教學活動及出席行前課程及期末報告。

【獎補助事項】

1. 本校「學生赴境外研修獎勵辦法」第三條規定：以具本校學籍之學位生(含繳交全額學雜費雙聯學位生)且其於提出申請及前往境外研修時，皆須具有本校學籍者，但不含休學生。
2. 參加本活動者須先繳交全額費用，完成課程規範(如出席全程移地教學、行前課程及期末報告)後，方由國際事務處協助辦理獎補助核發事宜。

【報名注意事項】

1. 本次屬於團進團出之移地教學活動，除文化探索外，其餘課程與參訪皆需全程參與，不可任意脫隊或無故缺席，也不可延後返台。
2. 一經報名確認，機位需立即開票並全額付款預訂飯店，若取消費用須依航空公司及飯店規定為準，其剩費用退費規定將依據交通部觀光署公告之【旅遊定型化契約書】辦理。

About this program

This exchange activity integrates both professional lectures and hands-on workshops, offering rich and diverse content. In response to the accelerating climate crisis and species extinction, sustainable design is no longer solely focused on human-centered needs—it must now encompass cross-species and multi-ecological perspectives. Centered on the theme of “Beyond the Human-Centered,” this workshop incorporates methodologies from Speculative Design, Multispecies Worldbuilding, and Bio Art. Participants will be invited to collectively imagine and create “future species”—not merely fictional beings, but reflections and experimental reconfigurations of human–nonhuman relationships. The outcomes of the workshop will be presented to local Japanese high school students, helping them understand the underlying values, sustainable practices, and real-world operations of the initiative. This experience will support students in bridging classroom knowledge with practical application, while expanding their career horizons and global perspectives.

Important Notes

1. This program is organized as a group-based field study. Except for the cultural exploration activities, all courses and visits require full participation. Participants may not leave the group without permission, skip activities without valid reasons, or postpone their return to Taiwan.
2. Once registration is confirmed, flight tickets and hotel reservations will be issued and paid in full immediately. If a participant cancels after confirmation, cancellation policies will follow the airline and hotel regulations. Any remaining refund will be processed in accordance with the “Standard Form Contract for Overseas Travel” as announced by the Taiwan Tourism Administration.

Subsidy Information

1. According to Article 3 of the "Outbound Study Incentive Guidelines" of Shih Chien University, eligible participants must be full-time students who are actively enrolled (including fee-paying dual degree students) at the time of both application and overseas study. Students on leave are not eligible.
2. Participants must first pay the full program fee. Upon completion of all required components (including attendance, pre-departure sessions, and final report), the Office of International Affairs will assist with the subsidy application process.
