One of the oldest institutions in the 23-member California State University system, San Francisco State University (SFSU) is a public comprehensive university located in the heart of one of the most populous cities in the United States, San Francisco.

The institution was founded in 1899 as San Francisco State Normal School, becoming the first ‘normal school’ in the country to require a high school diploma for admission. In 1923 the first bachelor’s degree was awarded and in 1953 the university moved to its current campus near Lake Merced.

During the 1960s there were a number of campus protests in response to both campus policies and issues including the Vietnam War and the Civil Rights Movement. In 1969, after a lengthy strike led by the Black Student Union and the Third World Liberation Front, the university authorities came to an agreement with the students which led to the establishment of the School of Ethnic Studies, which still stands today.

Today the main university campus is located on a 144-acre site. There are six academic colleges based around the study of business, education, health and social studies, science and engineering, liberal and creative arts, and ethnic studies.

SFSU offers bachelor’s degree courses in 77 academic areas, as well as an array of master’s degree courses and two doctorial level programs.

3+1+1雙聯學制計畫 (學士碩士)

1. 申請資格: 限管理學院、國際學程與商資學院
2. 申請名額: 不限額 (需繳交姊妹校學雜費)
3. 語言能力: 托福(iBT)70 分以上/雅思6.5 級分以上
4. 學業成績: 前3學年平均GPA至少2.5
5. 操行成績: 歷年操行平均成績75 分以上
6. 其他: 大四時前往姊妹校修讀1年Pre-MBA課程，修滿規定學分及完成相關規定後再修讀1年的MBA課程，符合其他畢業相關規定，即可取得姊妹校碩士學位。相關規定細節如下：
   1. 通過Pre-MBA所有課程且平均 GPA 達3.5 或以上。如僅達 GPA 3.0至3.49之間需另外提交GMAT或GRE成績。GPA低於3.0則不符資格。
   2. 通過姐妹校商學院MBA申請面試
   3. 完成Pre-MBA課程後，需完成本校成績抵免作業並於MBA註冊日前提供本校學士學位

3+1+1 Bachelor Master Degree Program (Two-year)

1. Eligibility: College of Management, International College and College of Business and Information
2. Quota: No limitation (Fee-paying)
3. Language Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 7 / IELTS 6.5
4. Academic Requirement: GPA of  3 academic years should be at least 2.5
5. Conduct Requirement: The conduct average grade should be over 75
6. Note: Take the Pre-MBA courses at SFSU in the senior year and fulfill the academic requirement, and then take the MBA courses for one more year at SFSU. Details of the requirements are as follows:
   1. Complete all Pre-MBA courses and achieve GPA3.5 or above. The GMAT or GRE test is required if the GPA is between 3.0 to 3.49. GPA below 3.0 will not be considered.
   2. Pass the Graduate School interview in San Francisco State University.
   3. After finishing Pre-MBA courses, the credit transfer process from SFSU to Shih Chien is required and provide the diploma to SFSU before the MBA registration date.
